Connectivity and Smart Building updates to the WiredScore Home Scorecard

ASK4 1357 New Blog Images Wiredscore2

The latest update to the WiredScore Home scorecard reflects a shift in resident demands and the fact that operators of residential assets are now looking to provide a more seamless digital experience. This is resulting in wide scale adoption of managed service providers and the requirement of operators to drive operational efficiency through the adoption of smart home technology.

About the latest score card updates

The new WiFi Innovation Framework allows buildings to gain WiredScore innovation credits by implementing additional WiFi capabilities in their building, with an increased focus on a managed Internet service. There are four key features that WiredScore has identified as the most valuable to achieving this:

  • Advanced performance
  • Planning due diligence
  • Enhanced security
  • Network personalization

There are also new criteria for smart building integrations including frameworks to assess and manage environmental performance, and a new smart innovation framework which determines whether or not a building does the following:

  • Enhances community engagement
  • Has technology-driven building  operations
  • Monitors energy performance
  • Monitors environment performance

ASK4 and its partners are perfectly positioned to assist clients in meeting all of these new criteria with our combined managed Internet and ESG technology offering. You can read more about our services here and access the latest WiredScore Home scorecard here.

What is WiredScore?

WiredScore is the global digital connectivity and smart building rating scheme for the real estate sector. It works with investors and developers to help them to understand, improve and communicate the quality of digital infrastructure across both their developments and operational assets.

WiredScore Home was launched in 2019 as the connectivity rating scheme for the Build to Rent sector and has since expanded to cover the PBSA, Co-Living and Build to Sell sector, with over 80,000 units now undergoing certification across the UK and Ireland.

About WiredScore Certification

The certification enables investors to ensure that their assets have totally future-proofed digital infrastructure and can deliver a seamless digital experience to residents - something that has become non-negotiable in today's market. The certification has also become a core component of the ESG strategies of many of the leading investors in the market as it is increasingly adopted as a funding requirement and design specification. For residents, WiredScore Home provides a clear and easy to understand rating system, allowing them to identify whether a building can meet their technology requirements.
